Nice and short ride today. Crazy how 55 miles has become a breeze and in training how much longer it took. Not a whole lot to report except for many prairie dogs, one antelope, and ginormous cows. We had a nice descent that was very curvy and had a bunch of uniquely colored, somehwat creepy trees, lining the way. I thought I as in a storybook and when I told Lynn this, she responded it should be entitled "Cara's Big Descent." See Cara Ride, see Cara Go, see Cara descend (I added see Cara get 7 flats, although today I was fortunate to escape all bad luck). Got to camp by 10am and instead of having PB+J at the camp, got a turkey sandwich at a Mormon bakery in town. Spent the rest of the day at the pool and had dinner catered again by Beyond Basil. We had homemade spicy hummus, smoked salmon, trout, flank steak, watermelon, and green bean salad. Check out the dessert: shortcake with grilled strawberries and peach ice cream.
Nelle's mother and friend, who did the Big Ride several years ago, are visiting and guest riding. Tonight, they drove us to the site of the Battle of Bighorn and we got to see the markers of all the fallen solders of the 7th Calgary, including General Custer himself.
Tan lines are coming along nicely
Cara - How special is that ???? Amazing pictures little girl :)
